Head of Development (m/f)
We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Head of Development to help us expand our business. It is expected from you to steer the front of the company and as such to show a great deal of dedication and creativity concerning the Development strategy.

Head of Development is responsible for ensuring that the platform and all product systems and components are created and managed using strong company’s principles, leading-edge technologies, and a strong customer mindset.

This person is in charge of implementing the technical aspect of the company’s strategy to ensure alignment with strategic business goals. Additionally, this person implements technology standardization and organizational procedures within the development.

Main Responsibilities

Implement, monitor and review the career paths of the team and technical leads,

Supervise career path of team members,

Authorize creation of teams in cooperation with Chief Technology Officer,

Cross-team synchronization and prioritization,

Resolve conflicts between the team and technical leads,

Monitor and participate in the hiring process,

Implement technical aspects of the company's strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals,

Implement standardization of technology across development teams,

Implement technical culture to make sure the company can continue to retain and attract top technical talent,

Implement organizational procedures for all known development processes,

Create the roadmap for development in cooperation with Chief Technology Officer,

Implement quality assurance and data protection processes,

Oversee system design and changes in system architecture,

Monitor KPIs to assess and improve technological performance,

Communicate current technology and products to partners and investors,

Product and feature ownership delegated from Product Development,

Create an architectural overview of projects delegated by Chief Technology Officer,

Technical and product consultation and requirement analysis for clients,

Support technical and project communication with clients,

Create processes, procedures, and roadmap(s) for legacy product retirement,

Report progress to Chief Technology Officer.

Preferred qualifications

5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience,

Expert level knowledge of architectural principles and design patterns,

Hands-on experience in a DevOps organization using popular tools and frameworks,

3+ years of a proven track record as the principal technical decision maker of an engineering team.

Bonus skills

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering from a recognized university,

Advanced PM knowledge and relevant industry experience.
