Scania Financial Services is providing flexible financing and insurance solutions to Scania customers. We are now looking for a Chief Accountant to take over the responsibility of our future leasing operation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The office will be located in Sarajevo but the work is also carried out at other locations, which means the position involves some travel within Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad.

Your profile
We are looking for a person with college degree in economics or finance, with 3 to 5 years of active and major experience in accounting, preferably in leasing or banking sector. You should be capable of expressing yourself fluently in both spoken and written English. We expect you to have the following personal qualities essential in order to cope with the duties:

As a Chief Accountant you will be responsible for Accounting and Finance in the company. Your primary duties will be:

  • Responsible for closings both on local and on group level;
  • Support day to day accounting and reconciliations;
  • Responsible for the Budgeting and projection process;
  • Company performance control, containing monthly analysis and follow up of performance and forecasts
  • Measure and control business risk through an effective financial risk management framework
  • Responsible for contact with auditors and ensure compliance in the regulated entities
  • Responsible for effective cash management within the company
  • Active member of the management team
  • Work actively to improve internal processes and develop the system for the business, planning and internal control
  • Co-ordinate the development of the business unit´s accounting/financial systems in accordance with changes in rules and guidelines for accounting and group reporting as well as tax, legal and central bank matters
  • Development of the team Back office team based on Scania core values and Leadership principals.
